This wonderful event is put on by a group of dedicated volunteers and held at Mount St. Mary&#8217;s College in Emmittsburg Maryland every year. I had lots of fun meeting new friends and spending time with old ones!\u00a0 If you are on Facebook, check them out. New photos are up with all the weekend shenanigans!<\/p>\n<p>There was a myriad of national teachers there\u00a0 with all sorts of great new techniques and patterns. Loved Linda Hahn&#8217;s ( <a title=\"Linda Hahn\" href=\"http:\/\/www.froghollowdesigns.com\/Frog_Hollow_Designs\/Home.html\" target=\"_blank\">Frog Hollow Designs)<\/a> New York Beauty.Check out her\u00a0 book &#8220;<a title=\"Linda's Book\" href=\"http:\/\/www.twocountryquilters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">New York Beauty Simplified<\/a>&#8221; and see what I mean.<\/p>\n<p>Then there was Michele Scott &#8211; <a title=\"Michele Scott\" href=\"http:\/\/www.piecefulquilter.com\/bio.html\" target=\"_blank\">the Pieceful Quilter<\/a>, who taught bobbin quilting.\u00a0\u00a0 Her Sunday fabric painting class spent the day outside and when we had lunch together, she had a red streak running through her blond hair that wasn&#8217;t there at breakfast. Now there&#8217;s a woman who really gets into her work!<\/p>\n<p>And I&#8217;m not sure that <a title=\"Linda M Poole\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lindampoole.com\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">Linda M Poole<\/a> ever slept! If she wasn&#8217;t teaching, she was cutting up fabric orders from her latest fabric line. Check out her <a title=\"Linda's blog\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lmpoole.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog<\/a> to get a glimmer into how her mind creates such beautiful fabrics and quilts.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Paula Golden\" href=\"http:\/\/www.paulagolden.com\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">Paula Golden<\/a> presented a lecture on Color &#8211; How to Make Your Quilts Sing and well as taught the mathematically endowed how to draft there very own mariner&#8217;s compass! We slipped away for bit of Chinese food one night and enjoyed it by the fountain &#8211; much more peaceful than braving the busy cafeteria!<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Deloa Jones\" href=\"http:\/\/www.deloasquiltshop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Deloa Jones<\/a> dragged her long arms all the way from Michigan to offer long arm classes. Check out her talents and inventive mind on You-Tube. She&#8217;s got a great array of videos demonstrating some of her new tools that really make long-arm quilting a bit more successful! Her work is absolutely outstanding!<\/p>\n<p>The list goes on&#8230; <a title=\"Merry May\" href=\"http:\/\/www.merrymayhem.com\/Merry_Mayhems_Mystery_Quilts\/Merry_Menu.html\" target=\"_blank\">Merry May<\/a> and her Mystery Quilts, Jeannette Pie of <a title=\"Jeannette Pie\" href=\"http:\/\/www.easyaspiedesigns.com\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">Easy as Pie Designs<\/a>. You may know her Talking Quilts. The list goes on and on. I&#8217;ll try to tell you more about who was there later.
