{"id":1843,"date":"2014-06-25T16:42:19","date_gmt":"2014-06-25T20:42:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/?p=1843"},"modified":"2014-06-25T16:42:19","modified_gmt":"2014-06-25T20:42:19","slug":"so-many-dresdens-so-little-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/?p=1843","title":{"rendered":"So Many Dresdens, So Little Time&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been working and working on these two-toned dresdens.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/?attachment_id=1850\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1850\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1850\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/single-dresdne-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"single dresdne\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I am making lots and lots of them. So many that I apparently can&#8217;t count. I kept cutting and cutting rectangles&#8230; so many\u00a0 that I had to go buy more gray fabric. And here are the &#8220;extras&#8221;.\u00a0 Do you ever have those mathematically challenged days? Well&#8230; this was a week&#8230; at least!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/?attachment_id=1845\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1845\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1845\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/over-cutting-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"over cutting\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After I figured out that I only had to sew half of what I cut out, I thought this process was going to be a bit faster. But reality can be deceiving &#8211; sort of like math. I currently have sewn all the appropriate rectangles together. Here are some of them waiting to be cut into wedges with my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/store-detail.php?cat=4&amp;ID=0\" target=\"_blank\">Creative Grids 15-degree Triangle Ruler<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/?attachment_id=1847\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1847\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1847\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/waiting-to-cut-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"waiting to cut\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is a pile of wedges that have been sewn on the both the top and bottom edges because these are going to be double pointed dresdens. This is just one of many piles that keep growing around here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/?attachment_id=1849\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1849\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1849\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/waiting-to-turn-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"waiting to turn\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The process of turning &#8211; it takes a pointy thing, a straight pin, lots of finger pressing and good movies on TV to get this job done. Good thing we&#8217;ve got Netflix!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1846\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/turning-process-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"turning process\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a pile waiting to be officially pressed into shape. I am planning on sewing them together in circles, not just blocks so I need 24 two-toned dresdens for each circle. I think there are enough here for three circles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1848\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/waiting-to-press-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"waiting to press\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And since I always need immediate gratification to keep moving &#8211; here&#8217;s the first circle!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/?attachment_id=1844\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1844\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1844\" src=\"http:\/\/www.erinunderwoodquilts.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/first-dresden-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"first dresden\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think it has enough WOW factor to keep me going for a while&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been working and working on these two-toned dresdens.
