About

Erin at 50 yearsI am a mother, wife, daughter, sister or friend at any given time of the day. I am a quilter every moment of my life.

I have been quilting since the early 1990's but sewing much longer than that. In late 2003, I was able to purchase a long-arm machine and started on my way to a full-fledged career in quilt-making. As a professional long-arm quilter and teacher, I have been able to keep my children in good clothes and college textbooks for the last several years as well as support my ever-expanding need for fabric and thread.

Most recently, I have given up long-arming quilting as a business and focused solely on pattern design, classes and lectures. I am excited to be able to add Ruler Designer to my repertoire as I have recently struck a deal with Creative Grids to design a new ruler! I'll tell you more about that as production starts to ramp up!

I am always delighted by the warm reception and eagerness of quilters to learn from each other. I continue to take classes myself as well as teach. You are never too old to learn and you will never know it all. Going to quilt shows, visiting the local quilt stores, reading quilt books and attending guild meetings and bees keeps my mind stimulated and my hands creating.

On a personal note, I grew up as the youngest child in a military family and traveled extensively across the United States. I have been happily married for 25+ years to a man my mother hand-picked for me and we have three grown children, two sons and a daughter, as well as assorted cats and dogs and chickens.
