Lots of quilting going on at The Little Country Shoppe in Middletown, Delaware

Pics from the most recents classes

Below are pictures from the last three classes I’ve taught but haven’t had access to the internet to post pictures. The first several are from the PHATKATs class at Seminole Sampler in Catonsville. We had a young novice sewer in there that really impressed us all, including her grandmother who brought her to the class. The second class is MACHINE QUILTING 101, also at Seminole. We did this 6 hour class in two 3 hour sessions hence no one looks too exhausted! And lastly, the TESSELLATING TREES at Sew-n-Save¬† in Aberdeen. This class moved along quite nicely but would have gotten much more completed if they hadn’t spent so much time buying up all that $5 a yard fabric! Yes – its true. $5 a yard! Sew-n-Save is closing the store soon and selling all of its fabric for $5 a yard. I understand the Christmas fabric was $3 a yard but is long gone!!!¬† But don’t dispare. Look for it to re-open in August or September under new ownership.

Machine Quilting Class at Bear’s Paw

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

These ladies worked hard Рquilted hard and were pretty exhausted by the end of the day but I think they really got something out of the class.  Judging from their samplers, I think we had a Picasso or two in the class!

Machine Trapunto at Sew n Save

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

These ladies moved quickly on Sunday – cruising through all the steps of trapunto and barely stopping for a chocolate break! And they were very successful despite the fact I stapled their instructions together out of order!!

This group of ladies really knew their stuff and cruised through the class. The color selections were fantastic! It was a great way to spend a Saturday.

Happy kats!

This is Deborah’s rendition of PhatKats! She took the class at Sew n Save a few months ago – Now its done and at the quilters! She even took the time to piece the back with the extra fabric. I think the cats are wide and crazy! What fun!
